A keen walker, I tend to take my camera out with me whenever I go walking. Sometimes I’ll have a clear idea of what I hope to photograph whilst out and about, others I’m just lucky to be in the right place at the right time. So I wouldn’t put myself in the same category as a Colin Prior, Michael Macgregor or Mario Colonel, but I do try to capture some of what I love about the natural environment to share with others.
I’m equipped pretty simply, with a Pentax MZ50 SLR that I bought on eBay, with only three lenses (actually two, one’s basically a better version of another) and a mini tripod, but I believe that still produces results (in fact some of my images are from even simpler kit). This means I’m still working with film and scanning the image (only adjusted for scanning artefacts, dust and such), but I’m still in love with the whole process (although not the cost) and the quality of image that you can achieve.
If you enjoy my gallery, maybe you’d like to consider purchasing a print…who knows, maybe in time I’ll be able to upgrade my kit (or otherwise fund this habit)?!
Remember, on these pages you will find a selection of what I consider to be my best work, and the most recent. To see a greater selection, please visit:www.photoboxgallery.com/mountainimages: if you want a different sized print, or want to print on a different medium (the Photobox options are fairly extensive) just let me know and I’ll do what I can. Again, the border-less image can also be found by exploring a bit, but let me know and I’ll send you the link.
Anyway, thanks for looking
