Buy prints/posters of landscape photography from: the Brecon Beacons, the Black Mountains, the Welsh Marches, the English Lake District, the Scottish Highlands, the Burren, County Kerry, the Swiss Alps, and Haute Savoie.
…inspire in me what the Welsh call “hwyl a hiraeth”, a sense of belonging, and of something missing when it’s not there. At times I feel like something is calling me to the mountains (sometimes even specific ranges, like Snowdonia), so I’m lucky to live in the Brecon Beacons, although at times I just need something…bigger. I hope I bring that to my photography.
…ok, so not entirely wild places, most places I go to are managed in some way, but I mean somewhat remote, unsanitised, possibly even a bit unkempt. I look for colour, seasonality and dramatic lighting.
…in all its forms; lakes & reservoirs, rivers & waterfalls -especially waterfalls-the sea and ice all hold a certain fascination for me. I try to capture its movement and its reflective properties (often to the despair of my companions), and will often go to great lengths to get that shot.
This gallery features landscape photography from around the UK, Ireland and the Alps, with the bulk coming from the Brecon Beacons, Snowdonia and Wales generally. All images on this site are available to buy as prints from my photoboxgallery site: from each post, click the Photobox Icon and you’ll be taken to the relevant image, from where you can specify the size of your print & paper type, check its quality and crop it if necessary. Naturally, the printed image is at a higher resolution, and doesn’t have the watermarking.
By the way, you’ll also find these pictures without borders, if that’s what you’d prefer, plus others, by exploring the full gallery further. Please enjoy my work, and if you feel so inclined, maybe you’d like to purchase a print or two…
On my Gallery page and through the Posts section you will find a selection of what I consider to be my best work, and the most recent. Please visit:www.photoboxgallery.com/mountainimages to see more. The Posts will be an opportunity to see the photo on its own, with a bit of background, either to the location or the photo itself
